Balanced Business

In Colossians 3:23, Paul encourages us to “work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” As Christian entrepreneurs and employees, we must have a servant’s heart in all of our business endeavours.

Lydia, a purple cloth seller, demonstrates the merger of faith and industry (Acts 16:14). Her experience reminds us the value of using our company platforms to provide hospitality and help to others, illustrating how our businesses may reflect our faith.

Let us endeavour to emulate Paul’s diligence and Lydia’s charity in the job. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will be successful (Proverbs 16:3). Today, take a step towards incorporating your faith into your regular business operations and see how it affects your job and relationships.
